[Please read our 2020 update before reading further.]

As we outlined in our vision, our long-term goal is to bring a 4- to 5-sheet dedicated curling facility to Keene, NH, and the greater Monadnock region. This will require a good bit of work, people and money, but we believe it can be done and can make the Keene region a true regional center for winter sports activities, particularly when coupled with the new year-round ice arena being built by the Keene Ice organization.

As our club is just in the formation stages, our precise plans are still in development, but a rough outline of how we’d ideally like to proceed is:

2018-2019 season

• Initial planning stages and publicity
• Identification of curlers (both new and experienced) within the Monadnock region who could form an active group
• Outreach to regional and national curling organizations who can help us grow the club

2019-2020 season

• Continued planning stages and publicity
• Identification of curlers (both new and experienced) within the Monadnock region who could form an active group
• Outreach to regional and national curling organizations who can help us grow the club

2020-2021 season

• Creation of a legal organization and board of directors (interested in helping?)
• Start curling as a group either on: 1) arena ice at Keene Ice ; or
  2) rented ice at Petersham Curling Club.
• Continued publicity and membership building
• Beginning the work of identifying a site, creating business plans, etc.

2021-2022 season

• Continued group curling, including ideally hosting a first bonspiel in the Monadnock region
• Continued publicity and membership building, particularly with the Winter Olympics.
• Identification of a site, planning, permitting
• Raising of funds

2022-2023 season

• Continued group curling
• Continued publicity and membership building
• Continued fundraising
• Start of building or remodeling

2023-2024 season

• First year of curling!
